An Entire Video About Smash Run from Super Smash Bros. for 3DS
Super Smash Bros. 4 is widely considered to be the blandest game in the series by fans. While it was received positively at the time, Ultimate has all but replaced it nowadays. However, that’s not to say that Smash 4 didn’t have any of its own merits - after all, it had one of the strongest newcomer selections in the whole series and was the first Smash game to be playable on a handheld! The main way I got to experience Smash 4 was in its portable form, and there was actually a mode unique to this specific version of the game. Let's talk about Smash Run.

Why Everyone Still LOVES Banjo-Kazooie | A Banjo-Kazooie Retrospective
Переглядів 12 тис.21 день тому
Hey, I’m gonna let you in on a secret. I’m a pretty big fan of Banjo-Kazooie. I know, I know, unexpected, right? It was one of the games that made my childhood, I could never get enough of it as a kid. I just have so many fond memories of wandering through its worlds and getting lost in all of its vast environments. You might attribute some of this to nostalgia bias, but despite this, the game ...
An Entire Video About Fishing in The Legend of Zelda Games

One aspect of Zelda games that I've always appreciated is the relaxing pass-time that is fishing. I'm not sure why, but it always seems to lure me in - hook, line and sinker. Because of this, I decided to cast my mind back to these fond memories and create an entire video about this topic. Hope this deep dive into my line of thought catches your attention! Yes, I was angling to include as many ...

Video Game Remakes. Some are one-to-one faithful recreations that stay true to their original counterparts, like Ocarina of Time and Star Fox 64 3D. Others retain the same general framework, but are unafraid to deviate with expanded content, stylistic changes and the introduction of modern game mechanics - think Metroid Zero Mission. Both the safer and more experimental styles have their pros a...

What Happens When F-Zero Meets Star Fox? | STAR RACER Review

Special thanks to Mike Towndrow from @vicariouspr for sending me a review key for this game! What would happen if you were to take the F-Zero's high-speed racing and combine it with the aerial combat of Star Fox? Well, Whatnot Games have sought to answer that question in their recent indie title: Star Racer! This retro-styled racer is a blast from the past which puts its own spin on the classic...
Game Freak's SECRET Masterpiece? | Pocket Card Jockey: Ride On! Review
Переглядів 4913 місяці тому
Game Freak are most known for making the Pokémon games, but have you ever heard of one of their lesser-known titles: Pocket Card Jockey? This game was initially made as a Nintendo 3DS eShop exclusive and centres around a rather peculiar combination of horse-racing and solitaire. It sounds bizarre, but trust me: it works. Since then, it's been remastered for the Nintendo Switch as Pocket Card Jo...
An Entire Video About Island Flyover from Wii Sports Resort

Do you remember the Island Flyover mode from Wii Sports Resort? The mode that let you fly around Wuhu Island to your heart's content, searching for information points and earning stamps along the way. There were definitely more action-packed sports in this game, but this one always caught my attention thanks to its relaxed, more free-roaming nature. So join me today as I ramble on about it for ...
The Weirdest GameCube Game You've NEVER Played: A Doshin the Giant Review

Doshin the Giant is a fascinating game. Originally created as a launch title for the Nintendo 64DD, Doshin had a rough start after launching in Japan only. However, the game was given a second chance with an enhanced release on the GameCube. Despite this, it's still very much considered to be a cult classic, a hidden gem. So let's dive into what this fascinating title is really all about. Music...

The Unexpected Brilliance of Pikmin | A Pikmin 1 Retrospective Review
yooooo that drawing of don flamenco (my favorite character) looks soooo cool 🤩
No float, no multihits, way faster and less floaty. All she needs
The fans are 100% wrong about smash 4, I got a wii u for that specific game and the amiibo support, I played that game alot with my brother and cousins. But I find the 3ds version the best one all because of Smash Run. World of light is trash
Despite my lack of knowledge in the series, I enjoy this breakdown. :-)
Don Flamenco has such a cartoon spanish movie voice, it kinda reminds me of Tadeo Jones (spanish 3d animated film)
So basically, it's world of light but...not
Man I love Smash Run. Tis a shame cause it might have been awesome in Smash Ultimate.
J'ai de très bon souvenir de ce mod surtout nommé mon personnage Dark Sonic et le modifié pour qu'il soi rapide et puissance. mes attaque spéciale préférer étais la lame tourbillonnante et le grand laser violet
Bro i lowkey thought there would be more views
pareil c'est un super résumer qu'il a fait
The audience likes Don Flamenco more than Super Macho Man since he's the most honorable boxer
Unpopular opinion, but Melee's Adventure Mode is my favourite in the series. Don't get me wrong, Subspace Emissary was a brilliant idea and the cutscenes were genuinely amazing, but it was let down by the awful level design in the platforming stages. If the level design was better, it would definitely take the cake as the best Adventure Mode. World of Light wasn't even an Adventure Mode really. It was essentially a glorified Event Mode with a map, a few RPG elements, and 4 admittedly gorgeous CGI cutscenes.
I love Smash Run
00:08 seconds in and this is already a banger
Smash run was unrivaled as a gamemode in smash 4
This mode is my preferred way of getting custom moves since you get so much of them compared to other modes in both 3DS and Wii U
monke
I miss smash run so much
This mode was really fun. Each player was in their own version of the level. People wanted to be in the same world and possibly see each other and fight, but I remember thinking that the 3DS couldn't handle that. Not sure if the devs said that or if it was just an assumption from the community. Either way, this probably wouldn't have been a problem on Switch, so I really wish they brought this back for Ultimate. Maybe next game. You deserve more views! This was a very well made video.
Trust me, I didn't forget about this. There's nothing forgettable about the unholy terror of suddenly hearing Orne music and not knowing where it is coming from before getting jumpscared and instakilled. Seriously, I'm an adult and that still scares me more than any horror game.
That thing still haunts my dreams
I was a high school junior when I got this game for the N64 64. All I know is that I craved a new platformer that could possibly be as good as Super Mario 64. I was expecting it to be maybe nearly as good as Nintendo's efforts. But when the music kicked in in Treasure Trove Cove I knew that Rare was cooking with something special. But it wasn't until I slid down that scarf and Freezeezy Peak that it hit me that this might be one of my favorite games of all time.
Nice stuff ! Good vid my guy
Thanks, I appreciate that!
when's the entire video on the Games & More section of the menu
That deserves an entire documentary ngl
a great video
Microsoft could never 😅
Ocarina of Time 3D is just a remaster, not a remake. It uses updated code of the N64 versions, like the unofficial PC port. All Grezzo did was just model and texture updates to the original game, minor QoL, but kept literally every other aspect of the game unchanged. Same with MM3D, again Grezzo just updated the N64 code, and didn't build a new game from scratch and full R&D like an actual remake does when 90% of the game work was already done for them.
I've never played this Im thinking to get it on the switch but I'm not 100% sure
I think also at the Castle in the River, there's different songs depending on the time I loved this video . Flyover was my favorite ever minigame on Wii Sports Resort
Backtracking actually happens twice. You forgot about needing the running shoes in bubblegloop swamp to beat mr. Vile.
Great video! I replayed and beat Banjo Kazooie on my sister's NSO while staying at her place for a week. It's still definitely a fun game. Just downright charming. It's not mechanically deep but the worlds are small enough that collecting everything doesn't feel like a chore, and your moveset always evolving is very satisfying. The final Gruntilda fight is still a bitch to beat, which I respect. I got it in I think 4 tries.
I have something funny to tell about this game. When I was a kid, I knew about the waterfall secret passage in the first level for a long time. And I also knew about having to save Falco. What I DIDN’T know was having to fly under the arches. Because a friend of mine that told me about the waterfall, he never told me about the arches. He probably did that by accident & didn’t know that was one of the requirements to reach the secret route. So for years, I tried to save Falco, but never tried going under the arches because nobody tells you to do so, and i couldn’t understand why I couldn’t get inside the waterfall. Years later I found out about the arches and I said “no way. THAT was the reason??” For the first time ever I was able to reach Aquas, the underwater level. And my mind was blown. The atmosphere was so good, the level was so unsettling due to it being almost completely in the dark, and the boss fight, oh boy. If I had to fight that giant clamshell monster completely in the dark as a kid, I would have shit my pants off. Awesome.
What is the background music that you played when Von Kaiser fought you in Title Defense?
Idk why everyone hates this game. Was my first ever Mario kart so maybe I have nostalgia glasses on but still, holds up in my eyes.
Deee deee dedee deee. Deedee dedee deee. Dedededede dedededede dedededede de de de de de. Doooo doodoo do do do do do do doo doo. Dooo doodoo dodo do do do. Dododooo doodoo dodo do do do do do. Dooo do dodo do dodo do dodo dooooo do. Almost forgot: Hmmm hmmhmm hmmm hmhm. Hmmm hmmhmm hmmm hmhm. HM!
I thought he was still weak. But I realized he had the power to absolutely destroy those who never fought him in title defense.
I hate to be outlier here but I have tried so hard to get into Banjo & Kazooie but I just can’t get into it because as much as I love the platforming genre I never found Banjo & Kazooie that appealing to me partially due to lack of interest in American and Europe games since I find most of them to be kind of soulless compared to Japan games. I’m also not a huge fan of Rare’s sense of humor since they tend to rely too much on 4th wall breaks and gross out humor which can be funny if done right but in the case of Rare’s games I kind of find it lazy and it bit annoying after a while.
i know some guy who really hates banjo
Banjo-Kazooie will always hold a special place in my heart. My mother born in 1972 introduced me to it well after she played it in her 20's. We always imitated and poked fun at the silly sounds and the funny antics in the game, and it is definitely the kind of game that you could have fun playing with a perky girl, and that's what my mother was always like, funny and perky. My mother is the reason why I love Banjo-Kazooie, because we made it fun together.
I may be the odd one out here where i didn't like Banjo( the game, not character) when i was young and still dont care for any of them today. However, i do still appreciate how they birthed a genre that is still used to this day.
Fine..... I'll reply banjo again.
You're writing isn't bad but your editing is too busy and frustrating to sit through. Everything is constantly moving and there isnt a moment to breathe. But keep up the work, look forward to what you make next
Still my favorite game of all time, Thanks for making this amazing video!
shrek caught me off guard
I've played and beaten this game more than any other. It's practically perfect. Love the secret levels. You forgot one boss, the statue running in the tunnel.
Awesome video!!
I loved the screen at the end of the video <3
I just remember the feeling of accomplishment getting all the medals on normal difficulty. And then realizing you could do it all again on 'expert' mode and that there was actually a prize for doing so. Damn I hated losing my wing(s) in one hit in expert mode, though😅
I actually prefer that the music notes have to be recollected if you die. Playing thebxbox versionnis way too easy (and i suck at gaming). The game is too short already
I have't watched the video at all, I just came here to answer the thumbnail, yes,! starfox 64 is a perfect game
Taz Wanted for ps2 is good like banjo kazooie, if you love banjo you will love Taz too
I noticed you mentioned Mumbo’s Mountain having no pitfalls, and I actually wanted to point out that the engine room in Rusty Bucket Bay, the Gobi’s Valley puzzle room, Grunty’s Furnace Fun and the final battle area are the only places in the game with pitfalls. This leaves Rusty Bucket Bay and Gruntilda’s Lair as the only worlds in the game to not have pitfalls.
